With the arrival of winter, our STEM activities also shifted to a winter theme.
1.🔬 Artificial snow
We learned about the unusual properties of absorbent materials and created artificial snow. While observing the changes in the artificial snow's volume, the children discussed how it differs from real snow and how similar materials are used in everyday life.
From the resulting "snow" the children made snowmen, hares, and elements of the "Chinese Wall" - a true sculptor and artist awakened in every child.
2.⚡ Electrical circuit
Continuing our exploration of electricity, we created New Year's cards featuring a working electrical circuit. The students reviewed the theory of conductors, energy sources, and closed circuits, and also saw how scientific knowledge applies in practice.
3. 🧩 New Year's STEM Quest
In anticipation of the New Year's holidays, the studio hosted a fascinating New Year's STEM quest. During the game, we solved a secret code, used chemical reactions to "melt" snowballs, drain a "sea," and extinguish a fire.
Our young researchers completed all the tasks brilliantly, demonstrating curiosity, resourcefulness, and team spirit. We are proud of them and thank them for their interest in science and creativity.
We wish everyone a happy and cozy holiday season and look forward to continuing our scientific adventures!
