Art envelope contest. We invite you to participate in the annual art contest organized by The Edward Gorey House. This years's theme are magic potions. Winners will get small prizes and their works will be displayed at the House and on their website. Bring your creative envelopes to our studio and we'll send them to the contest's judges. Deadline is October 11th.

Reflect your winter holidays, activities, fairy tales and dreams on your cards.

Winning designs will be featured on Alma Mater Studio website and at AM Gallery.

Open to children 18 and younger.

December 7th- Creative Saturdays. Holiday Handmade Gifts – Cityscape Lanterns and Plates Workshop Create unique holiday gifts with a personal touch! Learn the art of decoupage as you craft beautiful cityscape lanterns and decorative plates. This workshop will guide you through different paper techniques to create charming, handmade gifts. November 3rd, 5pm. - "Once upon a time there lived Hercules" Alma Mater Studio Youth theatre presents a musical comedy for kids and adults aged 5 and older. This production won several awards at Orange summer theatre festival.

Travel to the smaller than small town of Silverspoon, somewhere in the Wilder than Wild West, and witness the stranger than strange story of two robbers who attack a mail train, opposed by the young residents of Silverspoon! It's truer than truth!

May 18th. Creative Saturdays. Plein Air – Lilac Sunday Enjoy a day of outdoor painting among the lilacs! Bring your easel and join us for a relaxing day of plein air painting. Capture the beauty of lilacs in bloom as we spend the day outside, surrounded by nature. Artists of all levels are welcome to join. Location will be determined closer to the date.

Saturday, October 21th, 5:00pm. IN RUSSIAN. Quests around the city are back! Kate Kerov will lead the quest on Beacon Hill. The game is engaging, entertaining and educational for children (ages 8 to 14), and parents too! Free. More info here

Wednesday, October 25th, 7:00pm. IN RUSSIAN. WHAT, HOW and WHY. Our traditional meeting WHAT, HOW and WHY for parents of children of preschool and primary school age. If you have questions about how and when to teach a child to read, how to develop a child’s speech, how to preserve the Russian language and why it is worth doing - come! We will exchange questions and ideas, talk about WHAT, HOW and WHY in learning and preserving our native language, sympathize and support each other in this difficult matter :) The meeting will be conducted by

Create a festive wreath for winter Holidays decoration!
Please join the holiday Wreath Workshop and create your very own wreath masterpiece.
We will be using a round wire wreath frame, fresh greenery and lots of holiday elements such as berries, pine con
