Thumbelina at Alma Mater
This year, we wrapped up our summer theater season with a wonderful weeklong art and theater program in Lexington.
During the week of August 17–21, our young actors created a delightful production of Thumbelina, based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
The program included acting, games, creating artistic masterpieces, movies, and, of course, time together in great company. And all of it in Russian!
The kids helped build the sets, learned their lines, songs, and dances, picked out the right costumes, and even learned to knit so they could decorate their costumes.
The show turned out kind, light, and incredibly beautiful, just as a Thumbelina story should be.
Registration for our 2027 vacation programms is already open! For more information, visit our website, call 781-325-8285, or email info@almamaterstudio.org.
