Alma Mater Youth Theatre Scholarship

We are thrilled to announce the Alma Mater Youth Theatre Scholarship program for the upcoming summer theater camps! This scholarship is designed to support and encourage young actors and artists in pursuing their passion for the stage — in any theatre program and in any language. 

Who Can Apply?

All children currently residing in the USA are welcome to apply — regardless of their race, religion, gender, culture, budget, disability, where they live, or which language they speak.

Camp Eligibility:

The scholarship is valid for any theater-focused camp across the U.S., as long as the program has a strong theatrical component.

Selection Criteria:

Scholarship awards are based on a point system that reflects the applicant's involvement in theatrical and community activities. Points are awarded for the following:

    1    Participation in Alma Mater Youth Theater in 2024-2025 theatre seаson.

    2    Parent's participation in Alma Mater Youth Theater production, design and crew in 2024-2025 theatre seаson.

    3    Parent's involvement in Heritage Stage adult theater in 2024-2025 theatre seаson.

    4    Day-of volunteer support from student or parent for Alma Mater Stage events in 2024-2025 theatre seаson.

    5    Student’s theatre involvement outside Alma Mater in 2024-2025 theatre seаson.

    6    (Optional) Demonstrated financial need.Each positive response earns one point. Applicants with the highest total scores will be awarded scholarships, depending on the number of applicants and the available budget.

If the number of applications exceeds the available budget, priority for receiving the scholarship will be given to applicants with the highest number of points.

Award Amount:

Each scholarship is a minimum of $300 per recipient.

Deadline: 

The deadline for scholarship applications is May 20th 2025. 

Late submissions will not be accepted, so make sure to submit your application on time.
