STEM Program Report
Since September, the studio has been offering STEM lessons, introducing students to science and engineering. Each lesson includes theory, creating a project, and testing it.
In November, we talked about electricity, its purpose, and its uses in everyday life. We also examined the structure of a simple electrical circuit and tested how it works. The students built a small mini-project—a circuit made of a battery, wires, and a light bulb- and observed what happens when the circuit is closed or opened.
We also tested how vibrations make an object move and what helps change its trajectory, and created our own robotic compass. The students learned that even the simplest materials can be transformed into a real mechanism.
We also studied light and its reflection. We discovered why animal eyes can "glow" in the dark. The students conducted simple experiments with light and its reflection, and then designed their own model of a "cat's eye" using foil, mirrors, and other materials that help reflect light back to its source.
You can watch our lessons on video. Or better yet, come study with us!
